It's the last home game of 2008 and we face Aloha. The playoffs are on the line for both teams. Win and one of these teams will get in. With just two weeks left the battle for placement in the Metro league is raging and the chance to play after next week is on the line.

Cats drop a heart breaker to the Beavers!

Early on, it didn't look as if Beaverton, which defeated No. 2 Southridge last week, would need punt-block heroics or a furious comeback to overcome Westview. The Beavers scored touchdowns on their first three offensive series, staking Beaverton to a 19-7 lead after the first quarter.

Westview (3-3, 0-2) countered by turning to its running game, which kept Beaverton's offense sidelined for most of the second quarter. The Wildcats pulled to within 19-14 at halftime, scoring both touchdowns on passes from Josh Hill to Hayes Garrity.

Westview seized the momentum shortly after halftime as the Wildcats scored two touchdowns in the first eight minutes of the third quarter to take a 28-19 lead. Although Beaverton's offense finished with 455 total yards, the Beavers appeared on the verge of defeat.

Beaverton came back with a huge Blocked punt and rallied to win this one! On to Week three in the ever so tought metro league!

Westview Drops Metro Opener to Jesuit!

It was a rainy night and the ball would just not stay in the Wildcats Possession this night. Jesuit led by Anthony Blake, Dylan Jackson, and Keanon Lowe were just too much for the Cats. The game did feature some nice offensive series by Josh Hill and the Wildcat Offense but mistakes costs the Cats this Game: 45-7 Jesuit. Expect to see Jesuit go deep into the Post Season as they are for sure one of the top 2-3 teams in the State of Oregon once again. The three aforementioned athlete's are probably the three best offensive weapons Jesuit has ever had in combination. Tough loss....now the Cats prepare for Beaverton in Week #2!

Bring your Red Cat Gear, Tshirts, Hoodies, or anything Red to Westview this Friday Night for the Metro League Season Opener as The Wildcats Take on the Jesuit Crusaders! There will be a pre game BBQ once again that will start between 5:30 and 6PM right above the field entrance and we will be selling T shirts and a great Meal once again!
